Suzanne Kalinich was born in Ontario and is now residing in the beautiful Collingwood area with her husband and three children. A self-taught artist that gained her knowledge through studying art techniques and partaking in a great deal of personal experimenting. This knowledge has enabled her to develop her own unique style, working with acrylics.

Her inspiration comes from the beautiful landscapes she has explored in many parts of Ontario. These scenes bring about emotions that allow her to transfer onto canvas. Her objective is to communicate these emotions through her pieces of artwork.

"Mostly working with Acrylics on canvas, I strive to constantly grow as an artist and feel most comfortable expressing visually. I am especially interested in landcapes in the Georgian Bay Area and find painting very meditative and gratifying. From my first sketch to my final brushstrokes I focus on color, detail and expression capturing the moment , playing with color and light." - Suzanne Kalinich
