Drea Cohane
Drea is fascinated by human nature; more specifically, by the interior lives we carry within us. These enigmatic inner landscapes are mostly kept hidden from a passerby, but will sometimes - and often fleetingly, reveal themselves in a passing gesture or look. In her portraits, Drea looks to capture a quality or expression through the use of colour and contour that distills something of the interior life of a person. Whether it's just a mere glimpse of what's going on under the surface, there is always an urgent sense of a passing mood playing out before the viewer.

Like many artists I'm inspired by the world around me. For me, it's friends, family, camping, canoeing, red wine, bubble baths and of course my dog. I love to recreate these inspirations in a painting, often combining fantasy and reality.
I also love the act of painting, the feel of the brush as it drags across the canvas, the layering of colours. I especially love when a piece of my work makes someone smile. Then the process is complete. |
Anna Green
In the last decade, I have been fortunate to have the time to delve more deeply into my art career. I believe that my diverse life experiences (relationships, travel, career changes and personal interests) have positively impacted my paintings. My style is considered "whimsical" ....a reflection of my daily activities, thoughts and dreams. My becoming a yoga teacher, six years ago, marked the biggest shift in my work. My current medium of choice is liquid acrylic, which gives my work fluidity while still offering rich tones.
While I still love the challenge of portrait work and the serenity of landscapes and still life.....the female image has become my trademark. My "feminine spirits" have evolved from fairies to yogis to women with attitude (the girlfriend's series)..all symbolizing the inner strength and grace of the female. My paintings often evoke a smile or a chuckle, as the viewer can often see elements of themselves in each. |

Always drawing as a young girl, I followed my creative passion, and worked as a graphic artist for many years in the GTA. As much as I enjoyed my time in the advertising industry, I craved the creative freedom of the fine arts. Therefore, after having three children with my loving husband Keith, I picked up a paint brush. Soon after we relocated to Collingwood, Ontario. The creative energy became quite contagious and I couldn’t seem to put my brush down. As a full-time artist, I feel blessed I get to wake up everyday and do what I do.

Emily Kearsley
Emily’s inspiration for her art comes from her love of anything mid-century modern, her record collecting, and her love for treasure hunting. She also finds inspiration in her large collection of old family photos, movies, and old books. She resides and works out of her studio in Stouffville, Ontario. Emily spends a lot of time up north in cottage country where she finds ideas for her work. Emily’s medium is oil paint on canvas, wood board and playing cards.

Diane Lingenfelter
A graduate of the Ontario College of Art, I live and work in Toronto, Canada. I have been exhibiting my art professionally for over twenty years, with paintings in public and private collections across Canada, as well as in the United States, Holland, Belgium, and Germany. I have participated in exchange exhibitions in both Mexico and Japan. Painting, for me, is not bound by an initial concept because it is not a linear process. A painting requires time, space, and introspection. It evolves from its own history, ultimately revealing itself with a kind of sudden, ironic presence. |
